Here’s another drawing:
You can see all of my five-eyed office-dwelling cat demon drawings here.
I’ve been taking it easy since I finished my collabo with Sean T Collins for Thickness #3, just sketching and doing fun ink drawings. One idea I have is to do a series of five-eyed office-dwelling cat-demon drawings. Here’s one of them:
Would y’all be into a zine of these d00dz?
Here are two sketchbook pages where I was brainstorming for the collaborative double-paged spread Keenan Marshall Keller and I did for Secret Prison #666:
If you’re curious, that note to myself in the top left corner refers to Vortex #2.
Here are some sketchbook pages from the past couple months. This first page has sketches for Vortex #2, “Hawk” in Future Shock, and just some random drawings:
I really like the cat spaceship shooting lasers from its eyes to the left of the question, “Who made the Vortex?”
On this second page I was mostly brainstorming for Page 18 of Vortex #2 (also the first page of this preview of Vortex #2 (Update 1/13/2017: this link no longer works)):
I got a few miscellaneous things to tell y’all about.
First of all, my guest editorship at Novi Magazine continues with a short post about what I’ve been reading lately, The Accidental Space Spy by Øyvind Thorsby and The City of Dreaming Books by Walter Moers, both of which are highly entertaining, tongue-in-cheek travelogues. Click the Space Spy screenshot to read my post: (Update 1/13/2017: Novi Magazine and this link are now kaput)
Second, Jason Poland drew a Robbie and Bobby comic that’s a hypercastle tribute! I couldn’t be more flattered since Poland is such an awesome webcartoonist. Click the panel to read his comic in its psychedelic entirety:
Finally, I have some photos from Melinda and I’s double comic book release party at Domy back in April, all from my wife Glade’s Instagram account:
Glade, Melinda, and her equally talented bf Aaron Whitaker.
Me and Glade.
Me reading my comics.
This past week I finished a two-page comic for Josh Burggraf’s sci-fi anthology Future Shock. Here’s a preview panel:
Future Shock will debut at MoCCA 2012.
Hey y’all, I’m going to be in pretty deep radio silence over the next few months finishing up some projects, so don’t be surprised if blog posts are delayed. But here’s a sketch of some ideas for Vortex #2:
